Your Opportunity
We are seeking  PRN RNs for Home Health and Skilled Nursing  Fleet Landing currently has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, home health, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care.
We are seeking an RN whose primary responsibility is to supervise the care of residents assigned to his/her floor. Follows approved medical procedures in all aspects of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of policies and procedures, and ensure that they are followed by nursing staff.
  • Participate in inspections, make recommendations, hold meetings with staff and interpret policies to staff, Residents and visitors.
  • Develop work assignments, delegate to the Staff Nurse, and make daily rounds, review complaints and grievances.
  • Review nurse’s notes, make rounds, daily Resident visits and perform medication and treatment schedules.
  • Review MAR’s and TAR’s for completeness.
  • Consult with Resident’s physician and notify Resident’s attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in Resident’s condition.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary. Start IVs , obtain sputum, urine and other lab tests, and authorize use of restraints in emergency situations.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:
Must be licensed Registered Nurse. Must hold a valid license for the State of Florida or show proof of an application for such. Current valid CPR certification required.

Experience:
Must have knowledge of all phases of nursing care to residents and previous experience in a convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, or general hospital with supervisory or charge nurse abilities.  Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
