Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Manager of Fitness Services whose primary responsibility is to develop and implement a comprehensive, age- appropriate fitness curriculum 
in accordance with federal and state regulations, customer needs and company policies, with a focus on achieving and maintaining a high standard of Resident satisfaction and meeting organizational business objectives for independent living Residents. Improves the health and well-being of the Fleet Landing Community as guided by the WELLInspired™ program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a variety of of age-appropriate fitness classes; provides instruction of fitness classes.
  • Conduct functional fitness profiles for Residents and develop new programs to inspire fitness with Residents.
  • Responsible for helping each resident reach their potential and fitness goals through regular exercise both indoors and outdoors.
  • Assists in planning of the calendar of Wellness programs with a specific focus on physical and restorative conditions
  • Supervise the fitness team, including outside contractors.
  • Assists in ordering equipment and supplies necessary to maintain the Fleet Landing Fitness Center and Studios.
  • Create the monthly fitness schedule, special events and fitness challenges.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and recommendations with Fleet Landing Therapy department.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education Required:
Exercise Physiologist preferred. Four-year degree in a related field of study preferred or equivalent experience with appropriate certification in health and fitness. Nationally accredited group exercise instructor required.
 
Experience:
Three (3) years or more of Group Fitness experience with Senior populations required. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience leading group fitness classes for older adults. Demonstrated proficient use of office equipment and Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, Publisher & Power Point, or some other presentation software and Internet resources.  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.  Documented ability to function and excel in team environment.
