Your Opportunity
Fleet Landing currently has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care. 
 
We are seeking an LPN for Skilled Nursing 7am-7pm whose primary responsibility is to supervise the floor care of residents assigned to his/her floor. Follows approved medical procedures in all aspects. Complies with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that all Nursing Assistants assigned to you follow the written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of their assigned area. Provide leadership to and supervision of C.NAs
  2. Admits, transfers and discharges Residents as required.
  3. Charts all accidents/incidents involving a Resident.
  4. Charts nurses’ notes in informative manner, completes required record keeping, records new diet orders, transcribes physician’s orders, and reports all discrepancies to the Unit Manager.
  5. Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the physician
  6. Ensures that narcotic records are accurate, disposes of drugs as required, notifies attending physician of automatic stop orders.
  7. Notifies Residents attending physician and next of kin when there is a change in Resident’s condition, informs family members of the death of a Resident.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education Required:
Must be licensed Practical Nurse. Must hold a valid license for the State of Florida or show proof of an application for such. Current valid CPR certification required.
 
Experience:
Must have knowledge of all phases of nursing care to residents and previous experience in a convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, or general hospital with supervisory or charge nurse abilities.  Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
