Your Opportunity
Prepares food for Residents, guests, and staff members. Supervises the other Nutritional Services staff members concerned with food preparation, when Executive Chef is not present.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares quality food in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Fleet Landing’s established policies and procedures.
  • Prepares meals in accordance with planned menus and adheres to regulated food temperature standards..
  • Assures safety regulations are followed at all times by all personnel.
  • Prepares and serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Serves food in accordance with established therapeutic/mechanically altered diet regulations.
  • Prepares food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
  • Makes and records only authorized substitutions to the menu.
  • Completes daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly organized manner at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Minimum Education Required:
High school education preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak English and follow written and oral directions. Technical or vocation training in Food Service or one (1) year on-the-job training is preferred.
 
Experience:
One (1) year of experience cooking in a restaurant or similar food service establishment required.
