Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Fitness Associate whose primary responsibility is to 
provide hands-on wellness services including orientations, functional fitness assessments, group exercise classes, and post-rehabilitation/adaptive wellness and administrative duties in accordance with federal and state regulations, Resident needs and company policies, with a focus on achieving and maintaining a high standard of Resident satisfaction and meeting organizational business objectives for independent living Residents. Improves the health and well-being of the Fleet Landing Community as guided by the WELLInspired™ program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop small-group interaction through planned and spontaneous programming.
  • Assists with Resident programs such as fitness challenges, Fleet Landing Fitness Club, Senior Games, and events
  • Creates communications to promote fitness challenges and increase attendance
  • Assists Residents in their use of the Fitness Center
  • Lead group classes, as directed by supervisor, to accomplish our WellInspired Mission
  • Conducts energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes
  • Participates in planning and execution of seasonal fitness events
 
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education Required:
Group Exercise Instructor Certification required. Personal Training Certification preferred. CPR/BLS certificated facilitator
 
Experience:
Three (3) years or more of personal training experience with Senior populations required. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience designing programs for older adults. Additionally, experience leading group exercise classes for older adults is a plus. Demonstrated proficient use of office equipment and Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, Publisher & Power Point, or some other presentation software and Internet resources.  Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.  Documented ability to function and excel in team environment.
