We are seeking an Environmental Services Housekeeper who has excellent communications skills with a high degree of service orientation and excellent work ethic.  Responsible for cleaning and maintaining resident units and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the mission, vision, and core values of Fleet Landing.
  • Assures that Residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to register complaints, are followed.
  • Follows all established safety procedures and precautions.  Reports all unsafe/ hazardous conditions, and/ or defective equipment to Manager.  Reports all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to Manager.
  • Assures assigned work area is maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
  • Completes Daily Cleaning Schedule which shall include cleaning duties in resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, showers and dining areas.
  • Replenishes supplies (paper goods, soap, etc.) as needed.
  • Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Sign use with wet floors.
  • Follows established Infection Control practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
  • Will occasionally clean up human waste and bodily fluids.
  • Report all unusual activity by Residents or others, affecting safety and security.
  • Ensures equipment is cleaned and maintained.
  • Report burned out bulbs to Environmental Services Assistant Manager or Team Lead.
  • Maintains adequate supply of housekeeping supplies on assigned cleaning cart.
  • Completes “Daily Room Cleaning Check List” and turns in to Environmental Services Assistant Manager/Team Lead at the end of each day.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
 
Qualifications:
 
Minimum Education Required:
Minimum 8th grade education.  On-the-job training will be provided.
 
Experience:
LTC or healthcare experience preferred.
