Fleet Landing is seeking a Safety and Security Supervisor. The primary duties of this position are to provide quality leadership by exhibiting ethical and confidential behavior. This position will assist the Manager of Safety and Security ibn recruiting, training, and retaining qualified staff

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To protect the property of Fleet Landing and provide a safe and secure environment for the Residents and staff.  Report all safety and security hazards.  Enforce and conduct all Safety and Security policies and procedures.

DUTIES:.
  • Assists the Manager of Safety and Security in developing, implementing, and amending Fleet Landing’s Safety and Security Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supervises the daily operations of the Safety and Security Department.
  • Assists the Manager of Safety and Security in developing and implementing Safety and Security training awareness and education programs.
  • Ensures that all incidents of safety and security breaches/incidents are documented, investigated, and reported to the Manager of Safety and Security.
  • Assists Manager of Safety and Security in the operation of the Safety and Security Department, to include planning and implementing all practices and procedures that will be directed through Safety and Security Supervisor.
  • Develops, implements, and supervises the Field Training Program (FTP) for new members of the staff.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Possesses sufficient technical knowledge of computers to be able to trouble-shoot alarm signals and problems.  Must complete an approved CPR program and maintain proficiency.  Demonstrates strong customer service and possesses previous Safety and Security training and experience.

SPECIAL DEMANDS:
Possesses a genuine interest in caring for and serving older adults while participating as a team player.  Position requires attention to detail, patience, excellent communication and follow up skills, ability to demonstrate confidence and maintain strict confidentiality.  Ability to interact courteously and effectively with co-workers and Residents.  Ability to supervise effectively. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license throughout employment with Fleet Landing.  Must be flexible in hours of operation and subject to being on call.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.  Able to lift up to 25 pounds and extended periods of time outsideAble to see with corrective lenses and able to hear normal speaking voices with hearing deviceAble to perform duties under different weather conditions.

REPORTING TO WORK:
Reports for work on time according to schedule and adheres to the Attendance Policy.  Adheres to the Appearance Standard Policy and reports to work in appropriate attire or uniform while maintaining professional grooming standards. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.  Courses in Safety and Security preferred.  Basic knowledge of computer applications is required.

Experience:
Security and supervisory experience preferred.

Employment Variables:
May be required to work more than 8 hours a day and occasional weekends and holidays.
