Fleet Landing currently has over 140 healthcare beds including a post-acute unit, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care. !
We are seeking a Unit Manager for our Memory Care unit whose primary responsibility is promoting the health and well-being of each Resident by assisting the Assisted Living Administrator in day to day functions of the facility .

Key Responsibilities:
- Assures that Residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to register complaints, are followed.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe/ hazardous conditions, and/ or defective equipment to Manger. Reports all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to the Director of Nursing.
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential Resident medication, treatment, and care records according to company policies and procedures.
- File medical paperwork in appropriate chart or other designated location.
- Audit nursing notes, documentation in medical chart, medication/treatment carts, admissions, BIMS, Pain Assessments, Care/Service Plans, etc. and reports all discrepancies to the Director of Nursing.
- Conduct routine audits of the narcotic count to ensure accuracy. Notifies Director of Nursing of all drug and narcotic discrepancies noted on your shift.
- Assist with ensuring adequate nursing/caregiver staff is available taking call offs, finding replacements and covering shifts.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly Health Services Quality Assurance Audits, as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Provides leadership to nursing assistants and floor LPN’s.
- Administers professional services; makes independent decisions concerning nursing care.
Qualifications:
Health/Human Services degree or Licensed Nurse preferred. Current and valid CPR certification required. ALF Core training a plus.
Experience:
Must have knowledge of all phases of nursing care to residents and previous experience in a convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, or general hospital with supervisory or charge nurse abilities. Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
Employment Variables:
May be required to rotate tour of duty and assume on call responsibility
